Responsibilities
- Program, set up, and operate advanced numerical control machines.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical data to determine tooling requirements and setup procedures.
- Create CNC programs for 4-axis and 5-axis machining centers using CAM software or manual inputs.
- Design and fabricate holding fixtures.
- Document tool lists.
- Conduct First Article inspections.
- Train operators on machine operations.
- Maintain and monitor machine operations.
Requirements
- Strong technical skills in CNC programming for 4-axis and 5-axis machines.
- An Associate's degree or equivalent on the job experience.
- A solid background in manufacturing processes within the aerospace industry.
- Proficiency in CAM software.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical data, and mathematical concepts.
- Effective communication skills.
- A strong grasp of geometry and trigonometry.
- Problem-solving abilities.
- Physical stamina for standing, lifting up to 30 pounds, and navigating a noisy environment with moving mechanical parts.
