About the role
We are seeking a CNC Programmer who will write and revise CNC programs for a variety of multi-axis CNC machinery, focusing on technical ceramic products. The ideal candidate will lead programming efforts for complex components and collaborate with product development and engineering teams.
Responsibilities
- Create or revise multiple axis CNC programs for new product or engineering changes, maintaining current revisions.
- Complete set-up and operation of CNC vertical mills, horizontal mills, and lathes.
- Develop, refine, and implement manufacturing processes for all new product parts.
- Utilize CAM packages such as Mastercam, CAMplete, and CAD tools including SolidWorks and Creo (ProE).
- Program and operate machines with Fanuc controls (required), Heidenhain and Siemens controls (a plus).
- Ensure all programs used in the department are the most current and backed up on the network.
- Perform complex set-ups on a variety of CNC equipment using advanced tooling.
- Read and interpret blueprints from engineering or customers.
- Inspect parts for defects (cracks, chips, dimension, surface finish, etc.) as part of in-process inspection; record results and notify lead/supervisor of deviations as appropriate.
- Perform some simple machine preventative maintenance functions, update preventative maintenance schedules as needed.
- Enter data and interpret basic control charts and simple capability studies into SPC software and be alert for abnormal variation and out of tolerance conditions.
- Work closely with quality and department inspectors to address questions related to machining.
- Serve as a resource to others in the resolution of complex technical problems; provide training/cross-training in equipment and process operations as required, ensuring compliance of quality and safety standards.
- Lead or participate on teams for process improvements.
Requirements
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: 5 years’ demonstrated experience programming CNC machines to tight tolerances.
- Functional/Technical Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Full understanding of G and M code functions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong knowledge of GD&T with demonstrated ability to produce prototype parts from blueprint/drawings.
- Strong mathematical skills in Trigonometry/geometry.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, great attention to detail, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to work with a diverse variety of people from different cultures and backgrounds.
Qualifications
- Proficient with CNC software such as Mastercam X, Haas GL software, and Fanuc control.
- CNC equipment experience.
Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Benefits
Target Hiring Range: USD 33.00 - USD 44.70. Actual compensation is commensurate with experience, skills, and education.
