CNC Programmer
What's the Job?
Cook up close with Design and Manufacturing to make sure new jobs flow smoothly from concept to production, ironing out any wrinkles before they hit the shop floor. Take charge of setting up machines, making fixtures, and crafting tooling, fine-tuning machining plans based on what the machines and materials really want. Write down all the setup instructions, machining tips, and tooling needs so everyone knows exactly what to do. Also, whip up the CNC machine programs that turn engineering ideas into reliable production processes.
What's Needed?
- 3+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, especially CNC programming, machine setup, and process engineering
- Experience in wood operations, millwork, or furniture manufacturing is a plus
- A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field preferred; highly skilled candidates without formal degrees may also be considered
- Advanced proficiency in CAM programming software and interpreting CAD models
- A strong grasp of CNC machining principles, including feeds and speeds, sequence planning, and fixture design
