CNC Programmer

Salary: $40 - $55 per hour

A growing manufacturing company in Grandview, MO is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to lead programming and machining initiatives within a fast-paced production environment. This individual will develop new CNC programs, design tooling, improve machining processes, and serve as the subject matter expert for metal machining operations.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and optimize CNC programs for new and existing products
• Set up and operate manual and CNC machining equipment
• Program multiple machine platforms, including horizontal mills, vertical mills, and sub-spindle lathes
• Design tooling, fixtures, and efficient machining processes
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and 2D and 3D models
• Troubleshoot programming, tooling, setup, and production issues
• Improve cycle times, equipment effectiveness, quality, and operational efficiency
• Lead machining initiatives and provide technical guidance to team members
• Support continuous improvement projects throughout the operation
• Maintain a strong focus on safety, quality, and on-time production

Requirements

• Extensive experience with CNC programming, setup, and machine operation
• Strong knowledge of machine shop practices and metal machining processes
• Experience programming horizontal mills, vertical mills, and sub-spindle lathes
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, tolerances, and 2D and 3D models
• Experience designing tooling and developing machining processes
• Previous leadership experience with the ability to guide individuals and teams
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Continuous improvement mindset with the ability to recommend and implement positive changes
• Positive attitude and ability to succeed in a fast-paced shop-floor environment

Pay

$40 - $55 per hour
