Position Summary
The CNC Mill Programmer/Operator will be primarily responsible for programming, setting up and operating CNC mill(s) to produce parts in accordance with specifications and work instructions. The candidate will also be responsible for maintaining the machine(s) including calibration, regular scheduled maintenance, and routine servicing.
Essential Functions
- Reading and interpreting work operation sheets to determine appropriate operations to be performed.
- Produce programs utilizing CAM software.
- Utilizing CNC and manual equipment for fabricating production runs.
- Setting up equipment to specifications and work instructions.
- Performing production runs in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
- Completing production paperwork and making required entries into company database.
- Following verbal and/or written instructions such as blueprints, traveler, work instruction, process specifications, sketches, and direction from supervisor in completing a variety of machining and inspection tasks.
- Adhering to the letter and spirit of the company Code of Conduct, the AdvaMed Code, MedTech Code, and all other company policies.
- Ensuring compliance with applicable governmental laws, rules, and regulations, both in the United States and internationally, by completing introductory and annual training and maintaining knowledge of compliance as it applies to your role.
- Representing the company in a professional manner and uphold the highest standards of ethical business practices and socially responsible conduct in all interactions with other employees, customers, suppliers, and other third parties of Globus.
Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Experience using Mastercam software.
- CNC background in metal fabrication preferred.
- Able to use precision measuring tools – calipers, micrometers.
- Able to read blueprints.
- Clean, organized, and multi-task capable.
- Flexible, reliable, self-starting team player with ability to work with little or no supervision.
- Good communication skills.
- Above average manual dexterity and mechanical aptitude.
Physical Demands
- Required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
- Required to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Required to possess specific vision abilities, including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and capacity to adjust focus.
