CNC Programmer
Position Introduction/Key Duties
Cimarron is seeking a CNC Programmer to support a program located in Briggs, TX. This role collaborates closely with Machinists, Manufacturing Engineers, Design Engineers, and other Engineering teams to enhance productivity and refine machining processes.
Key Duties
- Use Mastercam software to generate programs for 3, 4, and 5-axis CNC lathes, mills, and machining centers.
- Generate and maintain programs and setup sheets in a high mix/low volume environment.
- Select tools for machining complex parts in steel, copper, and high nickel alloy materials.
- Define and adjust speed and feed parameters for optimal tool life in challenging applications.
- Make suggestions on drawing changes to improve manufacturability and CNC program strategy.
- Design machine fixture tooling as needed.
- Meet productivity and production goals.
- Provide feedback and ideas for process improvements.
- Run machining simulations using Vericut to ensure accurate run times and prevent machine collisions.
Required/Desired Skills, Experience, And Education
- 6-10 years of CNC programming experience using Mastercam software.
- Experience programming 5-axis CNC machines.
- Ability to lift 25 lbs. unassisted.
- Lifting, standing, climbing, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, stretching, and carrying are generally required.
- Must be available for overtime and weekend hours.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Experience using Mastercam software.
- Experience with multi-axis mill and lathe CNC machines.
- Experience with Okuma, DMG Mori DMU/DMC 5-axis milling centers.
- Experience with Mazak Integrex machines.
- Experience with ERP Software.
