CNC Programmer

A day in the life

The successful candidate will have extensive experience machining tight tolerance aerospace components in a prototype environment. Due to the development nature of the organization, individuals must have the ability to respond quickly to interruptions and requests to support test teams. We are looking for candidates who thrive in a fast-paced, start-up like setting. To be successful you need to be highly motivated and detail-oriented while showing the highest standards of execution.

Basic Qualifications

• 2.5+ years of machine shop experience creating programs for multi-axis machinery
• 4+ years experience machining tight tolerance, high value components on CNC equipment (multi-axis mills, lathes, routers)
• Expertise with HyperMILL CAM software (other CAM packages may be acceptable)
• Intermediate knowledge of tool holders, cutting tools, boring bars, fixtures, inserts and other accessories used on various machines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Demonstrated analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
• Experience with a variety of post processing methods (coatings, heat treat, etc.) and materials (aluminum, stainless steels, titanium, etc.)
• Familiarity with CAD modeling
• Excellent communication and time-management skills
• Excellent blueprint reading skills including GD&T per ASME Y14.5M-2009 standard.

Export Control Requirement

Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. Candidates must be 18 years or older with the ability to understand and adhere to all job requirements and safety guidelines.
