About The Job

We are looking for a CNC Programmer to join our rapidly growing team in Costa Mesa, CA. In this role, you will be responsible for project ownership and programming, but also set-up and operation of 5-axis CNC machines as needed.

What You’ll Do

• Read and interpret technical blueprints and design models.
• Program, set up, and operate CNC multi-axis milling and turning machines.
• Design, spec out, and implement various work holding and fixture methods.
• Troubleshoot issues and make adjustments during the manufacturing process.
• Perform quality control checks during and at the completion of the manufacturing process.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a programmer using CAM software such as Esprit or hyperMill (willing to train).
• 5+ years of experience as a machine setup/operator.
• A clear understanding of G and M code.
• A high level of familiarity with multi-axis and 3D machining.
• Experience with 5-axis milling, live tooling lathes, mill-turns, and/or multi-task machines.
• Experience with Fanuc, Siemens, or Brother controls.
• A high level of familiarity with various alloys, metals, and plastics.
• A high level of tooling and fixture experience.
• A high level of GD&T knowledge.
• Ability to take ownership of the entire manufacturing process from start to finish.
• Ability to adapt between R&D and short production.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted.
• U.S. Person status is required as this position needs to access export controlled data.

Preferred Qualifications

• Esprit or hyperMill CAM experience.
• Experience with 5-axis simultaneous programming.
• Experience with Siemens NX CAD (Teamcenter).
