CNC Process Engineer, CAD/CAM & Routing

About the role

Elliott Group is seeking a CNC Process Engineer to join our team in Jeannette, PA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CNC process engineering, CAD/CAM, and routing.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement CNC machining processes and procedures
• Design and optimize CNC machining programs using CAD/CAM software
• Oversee the setup and operation of CNC machines to ensure efficient and accurate part production
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve manufacturing efficiency and quality
• Conduct root cause analysis on machine malfunctions and develop corrective actions
• Train and mentor less experienced staff members

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in CNC process engineering, CAD/CAM, and routing
• Proficiency in CNC programming languages such as G-code and M-code
• Experience with CAD/CAM software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Qualifications

• Knowledge of ISO standards and best practices in CNC machining
• Experience with CNC machine tools including lathes, mills, and routers
• Understanding of material properties and their impact on machining processes
• Experience with quality control and inspection techniques
