CNC Operator Trainee

Department 055 – 2nd shift (2:30 pm–12:00 am, Monday through Friday). Overtime may be required, including Saturdays; shift start/end times may adjust by 1–2 hours when overtime is worked.

Pay

• Starting hourly wage: \$24.08
• \$2,000 sign-on bonus: \$1,000 after successful orientation period, \$1,000 after one consecutive year of employment

About the role

Approximately 90-day CNC Operator Trainee program. You will learn safe operation of CNC machines, maintain production runs, read and interpret blueprints, and inspect machined parts using general measuring instruments. Prior machining experience is not required. Personal hand tools and measuring instruments are required after the training period. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to read and interpret safety policies, operating/maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Effective communication skills
• Apply common-sense reasoning to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form
• Handle routine problems and situations
• Basic math skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division

Physical Demands

• Constantly stand and walk throughout the workday
• Frequently use hands and arms to reach, grasp, manipulate, handle, or feel material
• Constant use of hands and fingers to grasp, pinch, pull, feel, handle, and manipulate parts and tools
• Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts
• Occasional bending
