About the role

This position reports to the Production Manager and involves operating CNC machinery to produce high-quality components for fluid control products. The role emphasizes precision, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Load and unload parts within qualified timeframes.
  • Identify and select proper tooling, collets, fixtures, and jaws for efficient setups.
  • Inspect cutting tools for sharpness and usability.
  • Monitor machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining using precision measuring instruments (e.g., micrometer, dial caliper).
  • Adjust machine settings to control part processing.
  • Edit CNC programs to fine-tune processes, collaborating with CNC programmers or leads to submit changes.
  • Perform “first-piece” in-process inspections.
  • Set up machines for production runs.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Perform other reasonably related duties as assigned by supervisors.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of CNC machining experience.
  • General PC knowledge and familiarity with AS400 systems.
  • Experience with CNC Turning/Mill machines.
  • Ability to handle valve bodies weighing 50–200 lbs. using hand trucks, lifts, conveyors, or hoists.
  • Capability to stand for extended periods (8+ hours).
  • Willingness to work weekends and overtime as scheduled.
