CNC Operator (Second Shift)
Main Responsibilities
- Operate CNC machines and machining centers to fabricate metallic and nonmetallic parts
- Set machine controls for machining parameters including speed, feed, and coolant flow
- Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and technical specifications
- Measure, mark, and verify materials and parts using precision measuring tools
- Perform in-process and final inspections to ensure quality standards are met
- Troubleshoot machine issues and adjust controls to correct malfunctions or tool wear
- Detect and replace worn or damaged cutting tools as needed
- Assist with machine setups and changeovers based on instructions
- Maintain clean and organized machines and work areas
- Perform basic preventive maintenance and support machine reliability
- Complete first-piece inspections as required
- Follow safety procedures and maintain compliance with quality standards
- Participate in ongoing training and skill development
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- 1+ year CNC machining or manufacturing experience (or equivalent combination)
- Technical certificate in machining or related field preferred
- Ability to set up and use precision measuring tools
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Ability to understand and work with G-code programming
- Familiarity with GD&T principles is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Dependability and strong work ethic
- Commitment to safety and following procedures
- Willingness to learn and continue technical development
Qualifications
