Quanex is looking for a CNC Operator – 2nd Shift to join our team located in St. Cloud, Minnesota. If you enjoy hands-on work and take pride in producing quality results, this role offers the opportunity to build your skills on a variety of specialized equipment. As a CNC Operator, you'll set up, operate, and inspect CNC’s, helping ensure our products meet the highest standards for quality and craftsmanship. Your growth matters here. As you become proficient on additional equipment, consistently achieve production goals, and share your expertise by training others, you'll have opportunities to advance and take on greater responsibility within the team.

Pay

Salary: $20.90-$32.85 per hour (rate includes 12% shift differential), starting wage varies based on your experience. New Hire Bonus: $1,000, payout increments at 30-days, 60-days, and 6-months of employment.

Schedule

Work Hours: Monday – Thursday, 4:30pm-3:00am
Overtime Hours: Monday – Thursday, 4:30pm-5:00am, Friday, 2:30pm-8:00pm

Responsibilities

  • Follow all safety procedures, rules, and guidelines
  • Monitor product to ensure that quality standards are being met
  • Set up, operate, and verify work on assigned machine
  • Accurately, thoroughly, and legibly complete all documentation related to the position
  • Train others as requested
  • Promote teamwork by cooperating and supporting co-workers

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent education, required
  • 6 months or more of related machine operating experience, preferred
  • Ability to set up machinery and make necessary adjustments to the program
  • Ability to read prints and measuring instruments
  • Ability to perform detailed work that requires high levels of concentration
  • Positive attitude and team-oriented mentality
