CNC Operator (Machinist) - Swing

About the role
We are looking for a CNC Operator to work with our team. Under the direction of a supervisor and/or experienced machinist, you will perform tasks associated with the manufacture of machined parts to ensure a defect-free product. The role involves producing quality parts on CNC machines such as lathes and milling machines.
Responsibilities
- Load parts, prove tapes, operate controls, set offsets, and inspect quality parts for conformance to requirements
- Study and interpret drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions, tolerances, sequence of operations, and setup requirements
- Keep equipment and work area clean and orderly, and perform basic preventative maintenance on equipment
- Adhere to state and federal law, the Company ISO Quality Program, Company policies, and Safety and Environmental Regulations
- Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, ID and OD micrometers, depth gages, indicators, and scales
- Read drawings and specifications, including geometric tolerancing and dimensions
- Work with tool holders, cutting tools, boring bars, fixtures, inserts, and other machine accessories
- Follow written and oral instructions, adapt to a changing work environment, and manage competing demands
- Perform other duties as assigned by a supervisor
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1–3 years’ experience in a manufacturing/machine shop setting
- Preferred 3–5 years’ experience operating CNC machines such as lathes and milling machines in a heavy manufacturing environment
- Intermediate knowledge of precision measuring instruments and their application
- Intermediate knowledge of reading drawings and specifications, including geometric tolerancing and dimensions
- Intermediate knowledge of tool holders, cutting tools, and machine accessories
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions
- Adaptability to a changing work environment and competing demands
- Willingness to work flexible shifts and changing work schedules
- Basic math skills
Schedule
Swing shift: Monday – Friday, 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM
Pay
$23 – $40 per hour
