About the Role

Hamilton Company is seeking a CNC Operator to join our team. Under the direction of a supervisor and/or experienced machinist, you will perform tasks associated with manufacturing machined parts to ensure defect-free products. The role involves operating CNC machines such as lathes and milling machines.

Responsibilities

  • Produce quality parts on CNC machines, including lathes and milling machines
  • Load parts, prove tapes, operate controls, set offsets, and inspect parts for conformance to requirements
  • Study and interpret drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions, tolerances, sequence of operations, and setup requirements
  • Read drawings and specifications with an understanding of geometric tolerancing and dimensions
  • Maintain equipment and work area cleanliness, and perform basic preventative maintenance
  • Adhere to state and federal law, Company ISO Quality Program, policies, and Safety and Environmental Regulations
  • Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, depth gages, indicators, and scales
  • Follow written and oral instructions in a changing work environment with competing demands
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Experience operating CNC machines (lathes and milling machines) in a heavy manufacturing environment
  • Intermediate knowledge of precision measuring instruments (calipers, ID/OD micrometers, depth gages, indicators, scales)
  • Intermediate knowledge of reading drawings and specifications, including geometric tolerancing and dimensions
  • Familiarity with tool holders, cutting tools, boring bars, fixtures, inserts, and other machine accessories
  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions
  • Adaptability to a changing work environment, competing demands, and unexpected events
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts and changing schedules
  • Basic math skills

Pay

$23 - $40 per hour

Schedule

Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
