About the Role

This position will be responsible for setting up, troubleshooting, helping build new programs, and operating Centerless Grinders and Smart CNC Grinders on the 2nd shift, Monday to Friday, 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM.

Responsibilities

  • Manufactures sufficient quantities of quality products at or below budgeted production costs to meet marketplace demand.
  • Sets up and operates equipment efficiently to produce quality parts that meet customer specifications.
  • Follows established procedures for operating conventional and/or CNC manufacturing equipment.
  • Inspects and measures machined parts using CMM or Keyence (IM-8000 Series) to ensure they meet specifications.
  • Resolves issues related to production, machinery, and processing.
  • Moves materials, either physically or mechanically, to complete assignments.
  • Tracks scrap quantities and enters data into production MII or SAP.
  • Assists with 8D or 5 Why Root Cause Analysis for quality issues.
  • Operates two or more CNC machines simultaneously and performs in-process AQL.
  • Sets up and operates Rush Wheel dresser as needed and balances wheels to maintain stock levels.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the manager.

Complexity

Semi-skilled level position requiring training to complete routine tasks with a high level of detail to meet quality and production requirements. Contributes directly and indirectly to specific skilled tasks or processes. Works under moderate supervision with clearly defined methods and tasks.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of CNC operations experience required.
  • High level of mathematics (Trigonometry, Geometry, and Algebra).
  • Ability to read, interpret, and comprehend blueprints.
  • Analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Must pass required CUI training and background requirements set by the customer.
  • US Citizenship or US Permanent Resident status is required.

Skills developed through formal training or work experience. Performs the full range of established procedures and is considered skilled through work experience.
