POSITION SUMMARY
The CNC Operator will continue to develop technical skills in their assigned areas, further their growth as team contributors, and begin using their experience and technical abilities to demonstrate leadership characteristics. The position requires hands-on experience and growing proficiency of EXALTA's most complicated processes. This position is critical in helping EXALTA maximize the number of patients served while maintaining a high level of quality and safety.
Shift Options
- 1st Shift: Mon–Thurs | 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- 2nd Shift (Priority Hiring): Mon–Thurs | 4:00 PM – 2:30 AM
- Weekend Shift (Priority Hiring): Fri–Sun | 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM
What you'll do
- Help manufacture precision components used in advanced medical technology.
- Operate CNC Milling, Turning, & Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM).
- Produce parts following engineering specifications.
- Set up fixtures, tools, and materials.
- Inspect finished parts for accuracy and quality.
- Perform routine machine maintenance.
- Maintain a clean and safe manufacturing environment.
- Collaborate with teammates to improve processes and quality.
CNC Career Levels at EXALTA
- MQT CNC Operator 1 - Entry Level: Operates a limited number of machines, performs basic inspections, learns machining processes and quality standards.
- MQT CNC Operator 2 - Intermediate: Operates multiple machine types, performs basic set-ups, interprets blueprints and engineering drawings, verifies machining efficiency and part quality, assists in training and team support.
- MQT CNC Operator 3 - Advanced: Performs increasingly complex setups, operates multiple machines across departments, assists in training and mentoring teammates.
Requirements
- MQT CNC Operator 1 - Entry Level: High school diploma or equivalent, enrollment in or completion of the NMU CNC Certification program or 1 year of equivalent work experience preferred.
- MQT CNC Operator 2 - Intermediate: High school diploma or equivalent, enrollment in or completion of the NMU CNC Certification program or 2-5 years of equivalent work experience preferred.
- MQT CNC Operator 3 - Advanced: High school diploma or equivalent, 5+ years of CNC Machining or equivalent experience preferred.
