Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-driven, experienced CNC Operator to support our existing CNC team in custom closet production operation. This role is responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC machinery to produce high-quality components to exact specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Program, set up, and operate CNC machinery to cut panels and components per job packets and production schedules
- Review shop drawings, cut lists, and job documentation to ensure accurate execution
- Monitor machine performance and inspect finished parts for dimensional accuracy, edge quality, and finish
- Adjust machine settings to optimize throughput, reduce waste, and maintain consistent quality
- Identify and communicate material defects, programming issues, or machine concerns proactively
- Collaborate closely with design, engineering, and assembly teams to meet production goals and timelines
- Maintain accurate production records and job tracking documentation
- Absorb and follow safety protocols to maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Absorb and follow material handling procedures when needed
Qualifications
- 1+ year of hands-on CNC operating experience in woodworking, cabinetry, or custom closet manufacturing
- Familiarity with melamine and wood-based panel products
- Familiarity with the 32mm system and nested-based manufacturing workflows
- Ability to read and interpret shop drawings, cut lists, and technical documentation
- Experience handling large panels and using material-handling equipment safely
- Strong measurement skills and quality-control mindset
- Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and thrive in a fast-paced production environment
- Reliable, self-motivated team player with clear communication and strong attention to detail
