About the role
The CNC Operator plays a crucial role in our manufacturing process, responsible for producing machined parts through the operation of CNC machines and manual machining equipment.
Responsibilities
- Operate multiple CNC and manual machining equipment and workstations (50%)
- Load/unload/inspect components to Operational Method Sheets (OMS) by use of proper gaging equipment (40%)
- Make offsets and adjustments as required (20%)
- Independently adjust and maintain part specifications and replenish component components (10%)
- Inform Facilitator or Department Manager about processes or equipment requiring attention (10%)
- Complete documentation as required or requested (10%)
- Participate in completion of continuous improvement projects specifically designed to improve processes, productivity, and quality, especially those related to corrective actions (10%)
- Adhere to all safety requirements in the work area (10%)
- PRACTICE 5Ss (5%)
Requirements
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and blueprints
- Sufficient knowledge interpreting technical data accurately
- Mechanical aptitude and basic math skills
- Proficient problem solving and analytical skills
- Highly detail oriented
- High school diploma or equivalent
