CNC Operator

About the role

The CNC Operator is responsible for CNC operation and fabrication production in order to meet customer requirements. Must Be Able To Work 2nd shift 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, M-F.

Responsibilities

• Operates CNC equipment within the fabrication shop.
• Performs set-up of CNC equipment.
• Advises supervisor of any new tooling needed for new programs.
• Performs proper care and basic maintenance of tooling and equipment.
• Performs operation of additional production equipment as necessary.
• Maintains good housekeeping and follows safety procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent education.
• Experience: Previous experience with CNC Programming software. Emmegi & Haas experience preferred.
• Other Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities: A desire to work in a fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing environment. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Flexible and driven to meet tight deadlines, handle multiple projects and prioritize them appropriately. Ability to read blueprints. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of weight measurement, volume, and distance. Ability to apply understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Must have regular attendance. Must be able to pass pre-employment physical and drug screen. Must be eligible to work in the United States, visa sponsorships are not available.

Environmental Hazards

• Physical: The employee is regularly required to stand. The employee is frequently required to walk; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit and use hands. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required: Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.
• Work Environment: The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; fumes or airborne particles and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
