Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and maintain CNC machines according to standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Complete daily safety inspections of overhead cranes before use
• Organize and maintain work areas and CNC areas to ensure cleanliness and order
• Perform job duties safely as outlined in SOPs
• Set up, operate, monitor, and maintain CNC machines in accordance with SOPs
• Visually inspect CNC equipment and tooling for proper functionality
• Load and edit machine programs
• Read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures for machine operation
• Use measuring equipment and verify parts before and after machining
• Communicate and troubleshoot within the shop and with other departments as needed
• Cross-train on multiple types of equipment
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or management

Qualifications and Skills

• Ability to follow technical drawings and specifications with precision
• Committed to maintaining high production standards and adhering to company quality control procedures
• Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, materials, and equipment maintenance
• Ability to use measuring equipment
• Read, analyze, and interpret blueprints and technical procedures
• Speak and read English sufficiently to converse with the general public, read and understand highway signs/signals, respond to official inquiries, and make entries on reports/records
• Basic computer skills
• Basic math skills
• Critical thinking skills

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years of experience in machining
• Post-secondary education in machining preferred
• Microsoft Office Suite and AutoCAD proficiency preferred

Pay and Schedule

The starting hourly range for this position is $20.83 - $22.66. The range is determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is based on several factors, including work location, job-related experience, and relevant education and/or training.

Physical Requirements

• Work at varying heights, including on rooftops
• Lift up to 60 lbs.

• Stand on feet for long periods of time during a shift for up to 12 hours, with intermittent breaks

• Walk up and down steps multiple times throughout shift
• Participate in daily stretch and flex exercises
