CNC Operator - 2nd Shift
About the role
The CNC Machine Operator is responsible for setting up and operating CNC machines and other production equipment in Department 44. This position also performs related production duties, including assembly, drilling, tapping, grinding, painting, and handwork.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC machines and related production equipment.
- Monitor machine operation and make basic adjustments as needed.
- Complete production assignments according to work orders and specifications.
- Perform and document required quality checks.
- Read manufacturing prints, drawings, work order packets.
- Use measuring tools to verify that finished products meet specifications.
- Check and adjust coolant concentrations as needed.
- Change or replace tooling.
- Troubleshoot and correct minor machine or production issues.
- Aid with assembly, drilling, tapping, grinding, painting, or handwork as required.
- Complete required production forms and documentation.
- Wear required personal protective equipment.
- Maintain a safe and organized work area.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum of six months of CNC machine operation experience.
- Experience setting up, operating, and making basic adjustments to CNC machines.
- Experience using calipers, micrometers, gauges, or other measuring tools.
- Ability to read and follow manufacturing prints, drawings, work orders, and production instructions.
- Ability to troubleshoot minor machine or production issues.
- Ability to safely lift, lower, push, or pull up to 40 pounds.
- Ability to stand, bend, reach, and perform repetitive movements throughout the shift.
- Willingness to work in a manufacturing environment and wear required personal protective equipment.
- Experience with SAP ERP is a plus and not a requirement.

- Willingness to work in a manufacturing environment and wear required personal protective equipment.

Benefits
- Regular schedule is Monday through Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 2:30 a.m.
- Friday overtime may be scheduled starting at 2:00 p.m. for up to eight hours.
- Overtime may be optional or mandatory depending on production needs.
- Planned overtime schedules are typically posted at the beginning of each month.
Pay
Compensation is commensurate with experience.
Schedule
Regular schedule is Monday through Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 2:30 a.m. Friday overtime may be scheduled starting at 2:00 p.m. for up to eight hours. Overtime may be optional or mandatory depending on production needs. Planned overtime schedules are typically posted at the beginning of each month.
