CNC Operator 2

About the role

Experience working with various types of material is required, as understanding how different materials react to machining extensively affects the outcome of the part. Operating 5+ axis machines is helpful. The role involves working in a team atmosphere to ensure a smooth flow across all operations. Good written and oral communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Operates mills and/or lathes by following work orders, engineering plans (blueprints), including setting zero and reference points, tool registers, offsets, and conditional switches.
• Calculates requirements, including basic math, geometry, trigonometry, and GD&T.
• Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run parts, and sample workpieces; proving out part programs.
• Maintains specifications by observing drilling, grooving, cutting (including turning, facing, knurling, and thread chasing operations), taking measurements, detecting malfunctions, troubleshooting processes, adjusting offsets, replacing worn tools, and adhering to quality assurance procedures.
• Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting malfunctions, and calling for repairs or assistance.
• Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
• Completes production and quality logs as assigned.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
• Accomplishes organizational goals by accepting ownership for new and different requests.
• Follows quality standards to ensure parts meet customer and company standards.
• Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
• Other responsibilities may be added or assumed based on necessity.

Requirements

• Three years’ experience as a CNC Operator.

Schedule

Working hours are 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday through Thursday.
