CNC Operator 1

About the role

This is an entry-level position. There is no requirement for previous machining experience, but some knowledge of machining is preferred. The ideal candidate values teamwork to ensure smooth operations across all processes. Good written and oral communication skills are essential.

Working hours are 5:00 AM–3:30 PM, Monday through Thursday.

Responsibilities

• Follow work instructions to maintain repeatability in quality parts.
• Follow job orders to produce only the required quantity.
• Operate mills and lathes by following instructions, including setting zero and reference points.
• Load feed mechanisms by lifting stock into position.
• Verify settings by measuring positions, first-run parts, and sample workpieces; adhere to international standards.
• Maintain specifications by observing drilling, grooving, cutting (turning, facing, knurling, thread chasing), taking measurements, detecting malfunctions, and troubleshooting processes.
• Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
• Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance; following manufacturer’s instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
• Maintain continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and ongoing needs.
• Document actions by completing production and quality logs.
• Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
• Accomplish organizational goals by accepting ownership for new and different requests; explore opportunities to add value.
• Follow quality standards to ensure parts meet customer and company standards.
• Other responsibilities may be added or assumed as necessary.

Requirements

• Manual mill/lathe experience is helpful.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
