CNC Operator 1 - 2nd shift

Schedule

2nd shift: 3:20 pm – 1:50 am, Monday–Thursday

Responsibilities

• Follow work instructions to maintain repeatability in quality parts
• Follow job orders to produce only the required quantity
• Operate mills and lathes by following instructions, including setting zero and reference points
• Load feed mechanism by lifting stock into position
• Verify settings by measuring positions, first-run parts, and sample work pieces; adhere to international standards
• Maintain specifications by observing drilling, grooving, cutting, turning, facing, knurling, and thread chasing operations; take measurements; detect malfunctions; troubleshoot processes
• Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations
• Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; follow manufacturer’s instructions; troubleshoot malfunctions; call for repairs
• Maintain continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs
• Document actions by completing production and quality logs
• Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities
• Accomplish organization goals by accepting ownership for new and different requests; explore opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
• Follow quality standards to ensure parts meet customer and company standards
• Perform other responsibilities as needed or assigned

Requirements

• Manual mill/lathe experience helpful
