CNC Operator 1 - 2nd shift

About the role

2nd shift working hours: 3:20 pm – 1:50 am, Monday–Thursday.

Responsibilities

• Follow work instructions to maintain repeatability in quality parts.
• Follow job orders to produce only the amount required.
• Operate mills and lathes by following instructions, including setting zero and reference points.
• Load feed mechanism by lifting stock into position.
• Verify settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample work pieces; adhere to international standards.
• Maintain specifications by observing drilling, grooving, cutting, turning, facing, knurling, and thread chasing operations; take measurements; detect malfunctions; troubleshoot processes.
• Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
• Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; follow manufacturer’s instructions; troubleshoot malfunctions; call for repairs.
• Maintain continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
• Document actions by completing production and quality logs.
• Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
• Accomplish organization goals by accepting ownership for new and different requests; explore opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
• Follow quality standards to ensure parts meet customer and company standards.
• Other responsibilities may be added or assumed based on necessity.

Requirements

• Manual Mill/Lathe experience helpful.
