Technical Support Responsibilities Program multi-axis CNC equipment Develop efficient machining methods for close tolerance (e.g. 0.0001”), one-off work supporting injection molds, electrodes, fixtures, etc. Develop efficient and repeatable machining methods for large scale production Evaluate and select most cost effective cutting tools based on machining strategyInvestigate and evaluate new CNC equipment technologiesAct as internal expert resource to other team members regarding CNC machine technology and processesOperate all machines, manual and CNC, safely in order to build molds, electrodes andrelated toolingDevelop the proper sequence necessary to run CNC machines most efficientlyComplete proper paperwork in order to track labor costs in the Tool RoomIdentify problems when analyzing drawings and recommend alterations which would create a more cost effective process General Responsibilities Work with other team members on DPI/DPC projectsTrain other machinists by preparing the worker, demonstrating the operation, observing the worker perform the operation, and following upMaintain clean machines, equipment, and organized work areasResponsibility to protect Donatelle confidential information and Intellectual PropertyFollow safety requirements as outlined in the safety manualPerform other projects and duties as assigned Education/Experience Preferred Qualifications: Eighteen month vocational diploma in Machining-OR-Tool, Die and Mold makingTen years experience running CNC Milling Machines Other Qualifications And Desired Skills Demonstrated expertise in parametric modeling and milling software such as ProE, ProMfg, and Mastercam up to and including 3+2 and full 5-axis machiningExperience hard milling, including materials to 60 HRc and utilizing micro toolingExperience with multiple machine controls (e.g. Fanuc, Heidenhain) and the ability to quickly learn new onesAbility to read and understand blue printsFundamental understanding of geometry and mathematics
