About the role

Leemark Engineering Hayes Ltd is an established, family-run business specializing in sub-contract machining for the Aerospace, Satellite Communication, Motorsport, and Medical sectors. We are currently seeking an experienced CNC Machining Centre Setter/Operator to join our team on a permanent basis.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a team of skilled engineers setting and operating 3 and 5-axis Matsuura CNC machining centers with Fanuc controls, producing high-tolerance Aerospace components in small to medium batches.
• Programme optimization and process improvement.
• In-process inspection.
• Adhere and maintain AS9100 standards throughout all aspects of the business.
• Maintain 5S practices.
• Develop into Section Leader capability.

Requirements

• Experience in setting and operating 3 and 5-axis Matsuura CNC machining centers.
• Knowledge of AS9100 standards.
• Understanding of 5S practices.
• Ability to program and optimize processes.
• Strong attention to detail and quality control skills.

Qualifications

• Relevant degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 3 years’ experience in CNC machining operations.
• Proficiency in using Matsuura CNC machines and Fanuc controls.

Salary range: £35k to £43k dependent on experience.

Schedule

Hours of work are based on a 39-hour week with regular overtime available at 1.5 times the standard hourly rate.
