Janicki Industries is an innovative, family-owned aerospace company located at the foot of the Cascades, focusing on engineering and manufacturing complex projects for the aerospace, defense, and space industries. This position is located on-site in Hamilton, Washington State.

About the role

The CNC Mill Technician performs a variety of duties and utilizes multiple skillsets, including following detailed designs, instructions, and programming. Key tasks involve 5 Axis Mill Operation, tooling knowledge, calibrated equipment, machine operation, part loading, clamping, and machine maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Attention to detail and quality is required
  • Reads and understands blueprints, isometric drawings, and work orders
  • Receives and carries out directions from designated Supervisors and Production Leads
  • Understands and complies with Safety Practices
  • Identifies and obtains equipment, tools, and materials needed to properly perform job functions
  • Sets up scaffolding and safety barriers under direction
  • Properly executes Hazardous Material Disposal activities
  • Performs prescribed maintenance on machines and facilities as required
  • Knowledge of common hand tools
  • Works in other Cells to support Production as required (e.g., Mold Fab or Assembly Cells)
  • Performs on-the-job training, AS9100, Nadcap training, and other training as required
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Works well under pressure, meeting and completing multiple deadlines
  • Demonstrates cooperative behavior with colleagues and supervisors
  • Maintains good attendance and punctuality (essential function of the job)

Requirements

  • Due to ITAR and EAR regulations, applicants must be a U.S. Citizen or Legal Permanent Resident as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b (a) (3)
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required); Janicki will assist with gaining this access once employed
  • Special Access Program or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory and require candidate agreement to enter a Continuous Evaluation program
  • High School diploma or GED required; college-level or trade school education preferred
  • 6 months or more of operating machinery in a manufacturing environment required
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills

Pay

Wage range for this role is between $20 - $40 an hour plus a discretionary bonus. Employees can also receive additional pay for off-shifts, off-site work, and access pay. The range provided is Janicki’s estimate of the base compensation; actual amount offered will be based on job-related and non-discriminatory factors such as experience, location, education, training, skills, and abilities.
