CNC Machinists (1st & 2nd shifts)

Location: Skokie, IL – 1st shift (6AM to 2:30PM) and 2nd shift (2:30 PM - 11:00 PM) with multiple openings. Highly experienced CNC Machinists may qualify for premium-paying 1st shift roles.

Pay: $28-$34 per hour, with a $2.00 per hour shift differential for 2nd shift. Top pay up to $37 per hour for highly qualified candidates.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate a variety of CNC machining centers to manufacture precision components
• Perform machine setups, tool changes, and production adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency
• Operate multi-axis CNC equipment while maintaining tight tolerances
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions
• Verify part quality using precision measuring instruments and inspection equipment
• Monitor machining operations and make offsets or adjustments as needed
• Perform routine machine maintenance and maintain a clean, organized work area
• Troubleshoot machining issues to minimize downtime and maximize productivity
• Work independently while consistently meeting production, quality, and safety standards
• Collaborate with manufacturing and engineering teams to improve machining processes and efficiency

Requirements

• 2-5+ years of CNC machining experience
• Strong experience performing complete CNC machine setups
• Multi-axis machining experience
• Ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings
• Strong understanding of machining practices, tooling, feeds, and speeds
• Experience using precision measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, and gauges
