CNC Machinist - Willemin

Biomerics provides contract manufacturing, laser processing, and finishing services to a wide range of industries with a strong commitment to customer service. We specialize in the most challenging machined and micromachined components, including those used in interventional and medical robotics applications. Our core competency lies in smaller medical components, produced with high accuracy and repeatability using Swiss machining with integrated laser cutting, five-axis milling machines, and traditional Swiss screw machining for rapid prototyping and production.

About the role

Biomerics has immediate openings for talented CNC Machine Operators at our Monroe, CT facility. This role involves working in a team environment to ensure automated manufacturing processes produce optimal results. Shifts available include second shift (5 PM–1 AM) and weekend shifts (flexible hours).

Responsibilities

• Prepare and operate machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, and milling.
• Understand specifications by reading blueprints and mechanical drawings.
• Translate instructions into computer commands for machine operation.
• Prepare and load raw materials onto machines.
• Set up and run first pieces to verify outputs meet specifications.
• Supervise machines during operation and make necessary adjustments for optimal results.
• Inspect and measure finished products to ensure they meet requirements.

Requirements

• Knowledge of machine shop equipment and practices (actual machining experience a plus).
• Previous experience in a manufacturing setting preferred, but willing to train the right candidate.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Familiarity with interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
• Ability to work independently and follow directions closely.

Pay

Hourly rate: $20.00–$40.00, depending on experience.
