CNC Machinist V

Our Countermeasure Electromagnetic Attack Solutions team (CEMA) in Hudson, NH is seeking an experienced Machinist to join the first-shift team on a 4/10 Monday through Thursday schedule.

Responsibilities

• Analyze specifications, set up and operate machine tools, fit and assemble parts, fabricate and/or repair mechanical assemblies, build fixtures and jigs needed to perform specific tasks.
• Follow directions and work with limited supervision while collaborating with teammates.
• Observe all company policies and procedures, including safety rules and OSHA regulations, and maintain a clean and orderly work area.
• Wear required personal protective equipment as prescribed under OSHA standards.
• Set up and operate manual and CNC machines, including programming and editing pre-programmed parts as needed.
• Meet standard times on routers and report deviations to supervisor.
• Report any conflicts or problems that may interrupt workflow in the Machine Shop.
• Read blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, and specifications to determine dimensions, tolerances, sequence of operations, and setup/tooling requirements.
• Demonstrate set-up and thought process for sequence of operations.
• Measure, mark, and scribe dimensions and reference points on materials or workpieces as guides for subsequent machining.

Physical demands include regularly standing, walking, using hands to handle or feel, reaching with hands and arms, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling, and talking or hearing. Occasional sitting is required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 3–5 years’ experience with CNC set-up and machining.
• Ability to analyze 3D models using manufacturing software.
• Experience communicating drawing features, functionality, and manufacturability with Engineering/Designers.
• Proficiency in reading and comprehending instructions, correspondence, and memos.
• Prior experience writing correspondence and reports.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group settings.
• Apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
• Thorough knowledge of Machine Shop mathematics.
• Apply common sense to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Experience troubleshooting problems that may arise in certain situations.
• Ability to tour all work sites.

Preferred Qualifications

• Vocational school or associate degree.
• 5+ years of relevant experience.

Pay

Full-Time Salary Range: $75,998 – $121,597. Individual salaries are determined by factors including business considerations, local market conditions, internal equity, and candidate qualifications such as skills, education, and experience.
