CNC Machinist - Tsugami
Biomerics provides contract manufacturing, laser processing, and finishing services to a wide range of industries with a strong commitment to customer service. We specialize in the most challenging machined and micromachined components, including those used in interventional and medical robotics applications. Our core competency lies in smaller medical components, produced with high accuracy and repeatability using Swiss machining with integrated laser cutting on precision medical tubing. We also offer traditional Swiss screw machining for rapid prototyping and production, as well as five-axis milling machines capable of producing complex finished components while holding extremely tight tolerances.
About the role
Biomerics has immediate openings for talented CNC Machine Operators at our facility in Monroe, CT. Working in a team environment, this individual will ensure that automated manufacturing processes are producing optimal results.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and operate machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, milling, etc.
- Understand specifications of the task at hand and the desired result by reading blueprints and mechanical drawings.
- Translate instructions into computer commands so the machines can perform the correct function.
- Prepare and load raw materials onto the machines.
- Set up and run first pieces to verify that the machines produce outputs according to specifications.
- Supervise the machines while they execute the tasks and make any necessary adjustments to produce a better result.
- Inspect and measure finished products and compare them with requirements to determine if the process has been completed properly.
Requirements
- Knowledge of machine shop equipment and practice (actual machining experience a plus).
- Previous experience working in a manufacturing setting is preferred but willing to train the right candidate.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Familiarity and skill with interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
- Ability to work independently and closely follow directions is essential.
Pay
Hourly rate: $20.00 - $40.00, depending on experience.
