CNC Machinist - Senior Level
About the role
The Senior CNC Machinist is responsible for setting up, operating, and optimizing CNC machining processes to produce high-precision components that meet strict quality and tolerance requirements. This role requires advanced knowledge of machining principles, tooling, and programming, along with the ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications. The Senior CNC Machinist plays a key role in ensuring product quality through in-process inspection and continuous adjustment, while also contributing to process improvements, efficiency gains, and safe, organized shop operations. Collaboration with engineering and leadership is essential to support innovation and maintain high manufacturing standards.
Responsibilities
- Sets up and operates to close tolerance (+/- 0.001”) on CNC VMC to perform such operations as: Boring, milling, drilling, thread milling, ridged tapping and other operations
Requirements
- Ability to correctly interpret engineering requirements from blueprints, drawings, and written specifications
Qualifications
Education Level: High School or equivalent
Experience Level: 5 years
