About the Role
The CNC Machinist III operates, sets up, and may program CNC machines such as mills, lathes, and Wire EDMs to produce precise machined parts. They interpret blueprints, troubleshoot programs, and recommend process improvements.
Responsibilities
- Maintain quality standards for machined parts
- Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines
- Support fixture redesigns and process improvements
- Ensure safety and cleanliness in the work environment
- Achieve productivity targets
- Record activities and document processes
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED
- 5+ years of CNC machining experience
- Preferred: Associate degree or certificate in Tooling & Machining, or completion of an apprenticeship
Skills & Abilities
- Proficient in operating, setting up, maintaining, and programming CNC machines
- Strong math, blueprint reading, and troubleshooting skills
- Effective planning, quality focus, and safety awareness
- Good teamwork and communication skills
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to train others
Other Requirements
- Must be able to stand, walk, and handle tools for extended periods
- Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
