About the role
Snowline Engineering is a state-of-the-art precision machining facility located in the Sierra Nevada foothills, 20 minutes outside of Sacramento. Established in 1966, we serve a diverse customer base including Aerospace, Robotics, Medical, and Train industries. Our 80,000 square foot facility boasts advanced equipment and offers in-house training and career advancement opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Tend to one or more machine tools to machine metal and non-metal work pieces
- Complete routine machine maintenance
- Load parts in a CNC machining centers or manual machines as required
- Inspect and measure work pieces to verify conformance to specifications using standard measuring tools
- Read blueprint and job traveler specifications to determine the proper tooling required to set up each operation
- Modify programs as required to meet product conformity
- Retrieve and store programs to the database
- Deburr work pieces as required
- Clean parts as required
- Capable of interpreting and editing CNC programs using Fanuc, Fadal, and Yasnac controls
- Build fixtures as required to hold work piece
- Observe operation of machine and verify conformance of work piece to specifications using standard measuring tools
- Maintain statistical reporting
- Replace cutting tools as required to maintain part quality requirements
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 5-10 years' experience plus for positions II or III
- Good math skills
- General mechanical skills
- Basic familiarity with the use of hand tools
- Basic blueprint skills (Level II or III)
- Preferred knowledge of machining in the following materials: Stainless Steel, Titanium, Aluminum, Inconel, and assorted plastics (Level III)
