• About the Role

  Professional Plastics is hiring an experienced CNC Machinist to join our growing manufacturing team.

• Responsibilities

  • Plans and performs a variety of machine operations utilizing numerical controlled machines (CNC Mill) to machine plastic or metal work pieces to specifications.
  • Programs, sets up and operates the CNC equipment in their respective area.
  • Uses inspection equipment such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, CMM, to validate tolerances.
  • Maintains a safe and clean work environment.
  • Monitors levels of production, shift output per machine, labor performance, scraps and rejects, and housekeeping.
  • Assigns jobs and machines to team members in their area and shifts.
  • Answers questions and leads team members on their designated shift and area of responsibility.
  • Trains and develops team members in their department/shift including shadowing and coaching.
  • Leads team members in the promotion and integration of new ideas and process improvements.

• Requirements

  • Proficiency using CNC manufacturing machinery
  • Knowledge of basic computer skills and understand machining programs
  • Knowledge of geometric dimensions and tolerances
  • Identify and resolve issues and opportunities in a timely manner with viable alternatives if necessary

• Qualifications

  • CNC Machine Certification preferred
