CNC Machinist -Lathes

Company Overview

Gage Bilt is a proud Michigan‑based company, manufacturing and selling its own line of industrial riveting installation tools and accessories worldwide. As a family‑run business since 1956, it has a dedicated team, with some employees having over 30 years of service. The company is preparing to replace key retiring staff and build the next generation of skilled machinists.

Schedule

Full‑Time. Hours: 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday – Friday. Two Saturdays per month (5 hours each).

Primary Responsibilities

• Independently operate CNC lathes for short‑run production.
• Use standard measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, bore gauges) to ensure accuracy.
• Accurately interpret blueprints and process drawings.
• Demonstrate knowledge of machining and technology.
• Assist with tooling, programming, and setup.
• Work overtime (50‑55 hours weekly as needed).
• Experience in machine maintenance is a plus.

Secondary Responsibilities

• Maintain a positive, learning‑oriented attitude.
• Collaborate effectively with team members and management.
• Offer suggestions for continuous process improvement.

Education and Experience

• High School Graduate or GED required.
• 6+ years of experience preferred.
