Overnight CNC Set‑Up Machinist – Aerospace Precision Manufacturing

Pay

$30 – $45 per hour (based on experience) plus shift incentives.

Schedule

4 pm – 4:30 am, Sunday‑Thursday.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate multi‑axis CNC turning and/or milling machines with minimal supervision.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and operation sheets, including GD&T.
• Perform first‑piece and in‑process inspections using micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and dial gauges.
• Hold tight tolerances in complex precision machining environments.
• Document inspection results and job data within the ERP system.
• Follow all quality procedures related to machine setup, inspection, documentation, and material handling.
• Troubleshoot machining processes and make necessary adjustments.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on machines.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 3–5 years of CNC multi‑axis turning or milling experience, including full set‑up and troubleshooting.
• Experience in aerospace or precision component manufacturing preferred.
• Strong background in blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation.
• Proven ability to independently set up and run complex machining jobs.
• Experience performing first article and in‑process inspections.
• Familiarity with ERP systems for production documentation.
• Lean Manufacturing experience a plus.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment with a positive, solutions‑oriented attitude.
