Responsibilities
- Set up and operate multi-axis CNC turning and/or milling machines with minimal supervision
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and operation sheets, including GD&T
- Perform first piece and in-process inspections using micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and dial gauges
- Hold tight tolerances in complex precision machining environments
- Document inspection results and job data within the ERP system
- Follow all quality procedures related to machine setup, inspection, documentation, and material handling
- Troubleshoot machining processes and make necessary adjustments
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on machines
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 4pm-4:30am Sunday-Thursday schedule
- Minimum 3–5 years of CNC multi-axis turning or milling experience including full set-up and troubleshooting
- Experience in aerospace or precision component manufacturing preferred
- Strong background in blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation
- Proven ability to independently set up and run complex machining jobs
- Experience performing first article and in-process inspections
- Familiarity with ERP systems for production documentation
- Lean manufacturing experience a plus
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment with a positive, solutions-oriented attitude
