About the role
The CNC Machinist will be responsible for loading/unloading CNC Lathe. Set up of machine including true up of chuck jaws, program required offsets to maintain blueprint specifications, complete appropriate dimensional documentation.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate both CNC and manual machinery for use in metal working applications.
- Experience with G-code and Mazatrol is a plus but not required.
- Complete SOP travelers and document daily activities, advise supervisor of product non-conformance.
- Interpret assembly and blueprints drawings.
- Follow proper safety precautions.
- Must be courteous and work well with others.
- Able to properly rig heavy machinery and equipment for use with overhead crane.
- Maintain an organized and clean work area.
Requirements
- At least 6 months of CNC Machining experience
- Converting metric and standard measurements
- Basic Trigonometry functions
- Ability to use and read precise measuring tools
- Learn and understand critical processes and operations in assigned areas
