About the Role
The CNC Machinist III operates, sets up, and may program CNC machines such as mills, Wire EDMs, and lathes to produce precise machined parts. The role emphasizes continuous improvement, safety, and productivity within a team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate, set up, troubleshoot, and program CNC machines
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Perform quality checks and maintain documentation
- Propose process improvements and support tooling redesigns
- Conduct routine machine maintenance and housekeeping
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and escalate issues as needed
- Follow safety procedures and good manufacturing practices
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED
- 5+ years CNC machining experience
Skills
- Proficient in operating, setting up, adjusting offsets, and programming CNC equipment
- Strong math, reading technical drawings, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to train others and perform routine maintenance
- Committed to safety, quality, and efficiency standards
Qualifications
- Preferred: Tooling & Machining certification or apprenticeship
