Eaton’s IS AER FMC division is seeking a CNC Machinist III at our Irvine, CA facility.
Pay
$34.00 per hour, plus eligibility for a variable incentive program.
Schedule
1st shift: 5:30 am – 2:00 pm, Monday – Friday. Overtime may exceed these hours.

Responsibilities
- Set up, adjust, and operate a variety of machine tools such as engine lathes, mills, CNC machines, CNC lathes, drill presses, and deburr equipment
- Perform operations including drilling, tapping, reaming, and boring while maintaining dimensional accuracy
- Create setups and operate CNC machines to specific programs per part number and work instruction sheet using DNC (direct numerical control) link
- Work from drawings and specifications using precision measuring instruments
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and understand Geometric Tolerance
- Work under general supervision; progress and final inspections apply
- Inspect completed work and complete all appropriate inspection paperwork
- Operate both lathes and Mill/Turn 5-Axis machines
- Rotate to various machine types to build competency in their operation
- Participate in Lean Initiatives and Continuous Improvement activities
- Work beyond normal hours as workload dictates
- Comply with all safety requirements, including proper use of personal protective equipment and safe operation of equipment
- Understand and meet departmental safety objectives and goals
- Maintain a clean, organized, and orderly work area per 5S standards
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution
- Minimum five years’ experience as a Machinist
- Lathe experience (2-3 axis)
- Must reside within a 50-mile radius of Irvine, CA (no relocation benefit offered; Active Duty Military Service members exempt from geographical limitation)
- Must be a U.S. person (citizen, national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee) to comply with U.S. export regulations
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous work experience in the Aerospace Industry
- Milling 4-Axis experience
- Mazak machining experience
