About the role
Kurt Machining is seeking a CNC Machinist II - Milling to join our team at our Machining Division. The CNC Machinist II is responsible for setting up, adjusting, and operating numerically controlled machine tools. This role involves performing a series of progressive machining operations on repetitive workpieces, ensuring close and exacting tolerances and finish specifications.
Responsibilities
- Work from programming instructions, operational data and machine set up instructions defining and coding tool arrangements, material clamping methods, machine calibrations and console settings.
- Check parts for conformance to specifications.
- Operators may be required to run more than one unit simultaneously.
- Requires a broad knowledge of machining techniques and familiarity with CNC operational procedures.
Requirements
- Reliable attendance is required.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- 3 years of related experience
- Ability to perform metric conversions
- Must be able to read and understand blueprints, specifications, and routings
Skills
- Broad knowledge of machining techniques
- Familiarity with CNC operational procedures

Pay
The anticipated starting pay range for this position is $29.00 to $37.00. The exact rate may be based on a combination of factors, including knowledge, experience, skills, abilities, and education.
Schedule
2nd Shift: 4:30 p.m. - 3:00 a.m. Monday - Thursday; 2:30 p.m. - 10:30 p.m. Friday
Shift Differential: Second shift employees are eligible for a 20% shift differential.
