CNC Machinist I (Edwards Vacuum)

About the role

Join us as we prepare for production at our new facility in the Western New York Science & Technology Advanced Manufacturing Park (STAMP). Located at 6685 Crosby Rd, Basom, NY 14013, we offer a competitive salary range of $20.19 - $31.25 per hour, with potential for negotiation based on qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Operate HMC, mill-turn, grinder, or balancer machines under supervision
• Seek assistance when encountering operational issues
• Follow standard safety protocols and quality procedures
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working area in alignment with 6S principles
• Collaborate with Cell Support Engineers and Team Leaders to identify and resolve basic issues
• Participate in ongoing training and skill development programs

Requirements

• 0–3 years of machining experience or technical education/certification in CNC machining
• The ability to perform essential job duties with or without reasonable accommodation and without posing a direct threat to safety or health of employees or others

Qualifications

• Able to read basic blueprints and work instructions
• Willingness to work in a team environment and receive feedback

Skills

• Physical strength and hand/finger dexterity for precision handling of tools and machinery
• Standing/walking for extended periods
• Moving objects/lifting/carrying materials and tools
• Bending/twisting/reaching positions
• Performing repetitive actions
