What You'll Do
- Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, and manual machining equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
- Load materials, install tooling, and prepare fixtures.
- Monitor machine performance and make basic adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency.
- Inspect finished parts using precision measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Complete production records and ERP documentation accurately.
- Collaborate with engineers, machinists, and production personnel to solve manufacturing challenges.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and support prototype and R&D projects as needed.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- Two or more years of machining experience or completion of a technical/trade school program is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of CNC machining and machine shop practices is required.
- The ability to read and interpret blueprints and understand GD&T fundamentals is essential.
- Experience using precision measuring tools is necessary.
- Basic shop math skills, including geometry and trigonometry, are required.
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM software such as Mastercam, Fusion 360, or SolidWorks is a plus.
- A strong mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn and grow are important qualities.
