CNC Machinist

About the role

We are seeking a qualified CNC Machinist to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment on our 2nd shift. The CNC Machinist sets up and operates CNC machines from blueprints, specifications, and job layouts, holding very close dimensional tolerances across a variety of materials. This role requires strong technical skills, good independent judgment, and a commitment to quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Set up new and repeat jobs efficiently from blueprints and job routers
• Create programs at the machine and produce parts to blueprint specifications
• Submit and achieve first article approval
• Achieve machine rate listed on the job router
• Ensure part process is stable and ready for operator handoff
• Operate machines while monitoring and maintaining part quality
• Change worn tooling and make machine offsets as needed
• Inspect and document critical features per the inspection document
• Complete all required production documentation and enter setup and production daily
• Properly identify machined parts using labels or tags
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Work independently while keeping foreman and engineering informed of any issues or developments
