Responsibilities
- Operate CNC machines and occasionally manual machine tools
- Read, interpret and understand layouts, job packets and blueprints for components being produced
- Load and unload materials and parts from machines
- Measure, examine, and test completed parts in order to detect defects and ensure conformance to Virnig quality standards and product specifications
- Collect, input and test data, which involves use of various tools, gauges and instruments
- Perform necessary side operations during machine cycle time as required
- Perform daily maintenance of machines as required and keep supervisor informed of necessary maintenance beyond operator ability
- Maintain a clean, safe work area
- Adjust tools and space as needed
- Work as a team-member to aid all shifts and support personnel to operate to departmental standards including quality and productivity goals
Requirements
- Troubleshooting — Determine causes of operating errors and decide how to remedy.
- Critical Thinking — Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions or approaches to problems.
- Communication — Ability to effectively communicate ideas (verbal and written) to coworkers and outside parties.
- Self-Motivated — Be observant and proactive about potential problems. Should be able to manage workload and maintain equipment without direction from a supervisor. Strive for continuous improvement in work processes and procedures.
- Mechanical — Knowledge of and ability to use machines and tools.
- Equipment Repair and Maintenance — Ability to repair and maintenance machines or systems. Read blueprints, manuals, and parts catalogs when necessary.
- Safety— Knowledge of applicable safety precautions or procedures required by Virnig Manufacturing, and federal, state, and local governing bodies.
- Computers — Must have general computer skills.

Compensation
Starting Wage- $25.50/hour
Schedule
Monday-Thursday 5am-3:30p with the ability to work Friday's as needed
