Responsibilities
- support machining department with development and implementation, prioritization of work and execution of projects delivered on time
- set up and perform specialized tasks using standard and/or non-standard procedures using a wide range of machine tools
- plan machining sequences and create part routings
- determine tool offsets and load tooling into machinery at correct settings
- select correct speeds and feeds, and maintain cutting tools
- utilize precision measuring equipment to ensure components meet engineering specifications
- assist in the trouble shooting and maintenance of machinery and programs in the integrated manufacturing area
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of CNC and lathe experience, preferably in automation
- Mastercam experience highly desired
- strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to read a blueprint
- advanced math and precision measuring skills
- demonstrated problem-solving skills with independent judgement being crucial
- experience with assembly machines, automation and fixture designs
