CNC Machinist

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic experienced Machinist with strong set-up and inspection skills to join our Exlar team for a unique machining opportunity. As our Machinist, you will produce metal parts to specifications using CNC machine tools. You will have the ability to do basic machine set-up, quality control, and minor machine maintenance when required.

Schedule

• 1st shift: Monday to Friday – flexible shift start times between 5:00 am - 7:00 am CST
• 2nd shift: Monday to Thursday – 3:00 pm to 1:30 am

Pay

$25.00 - $35.00 per hour (2nd shift receives differential pay). The salary range is a general guideline reflecting a position based in Minnesota; actual offers will consider the candidate’s qualifications, relevant experience, scope of the position, and market/business factors.

Responsibilities

• Prove out new CNC programs and provide recommendations to improve existing programs and tooling
• Perform inspection and measurements on manufactured parts using drawings and inspection sheets
• Perform setup on machines using setup sheets and on-the-job training
• Perform minor preventative maintenance on machines

Requirements

• Preferred 5+ years of experience operating and setting up CNC machine tools (similar experiences and skills will be considered)
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Experience performing measurements using calipers, micrometers, and other inspection instruments
• Must be a U.S. Person
